The Scott AFB Fam Camp is located at the Scott Lake Recreation area (base access needed), nestled among the trees providing lots of shade in the summer, and looking over the two base fishing lakes. The Fam Camp has 20 RV campsites, each with water and electric hookups. Restrooms, showers, laundry, and a sewage dump station are available to use.
Cost per night for RV's campers using a space is $20.00. Rustic tent camping is allowed anywhere around the lake area (except in the pavilion areas) at a cost of $10.00 per night, per tent. A dry-camp overflow area is also available at $10.00 per night; max capacity 2 campers, first come first served.
Campsites
Each site is allowed only one camping unit and one towing vehicle. All structures other than those which are standard for the RV must be be approved by the ODR director. Please keep mats off the grass and no vehicle parking on grass between campsites.
All daily camping permits expire at 2:00 p.m. Prime site fee applies to designated sites from April 1 - September 30. In addition to the fees below, there is a $3.00 per stay transaction fee for all overnight stays. Daily Camping (annual or 14-day camping permit pays for these) $10.00 Prime Site Fee $2.00. Locals were using the boat ramp area to fish and also the site across from us, but it was quiet overall, even being half full with campers. The campground area has a loop through it, and some sites have a 'driveway' to them. Some sites are lakeside and have a nice view of the lake. There are a number of pull-thrus; others are back-in.
Quiet Hours
11 p.m. to 7 a.m. are the camp's quiet hours. Generators must not be operated at night.
Pets
We welcome your family pets, but they must be on a leash or inside the trailer at all times. Please clean up after your pet and put them inside at night. Do not leave unattended. NO FENCES OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED. Pets are not allowed in the restrooms or the laundry. Pets must be current with all shots and licenses.

Cancellations

Any cancellations or modifications to your reservation must be made 48 hours or more before the start of your reservation period. Cancellations or modifications made inside the 48 hour window are not eligible for reimbursement. Cancellation due to military commitment will be refunded 100%; you must show memorandum or proof of orders.
One night forms and drop box is currently available on Bulletin Board at the entrance to FamCamp. No parking on grass, additional parking may be available near Bathhouse. Fires allowed only in Grill Grates, do not build fire rings. Base Fishing Permit required for Scott Lakes, purchase from ODR during business hours. Illinois State Permit not required.
